Design and Build
As part of a greenfield investment project, Szabó Fogaskerékgyártó Kft.’s new 5,300-square-meter production hall was completed in the Kaposvár North Industrial Park in just 9 months, designed and constructed by Weinberg. Within the building, the production hall and warehouse occupy a combined area of 4,450 m², while the offices and changing rooms cover 600 m², and the electrical and mechanical rooms account for 250 m². Our company was responsible not only for the design but also for constructing the entire building’s structural frame, roof structure, facade cladding, layer systems, as well as the mechanical, high- and low-voltage electrical systems. Additionally, we executed the drainage system, on-site infiltration system, and all construction and specialized technical works. The project began with earthworks, foundation work, and assembling the prefabricated reinforced concrete frame, followed by roof and facade cladding. The roof structure was built using trapezoidal sheets, thermal and waterproof insulation materials, while the facade is covered with 10 cm thick IPN thermal insulation sandwich panels. The infill walls were constructed using Porotherm 25NF bricks. The building’s heating and cooling are provided by modern fan coil radiators and air handling equipment, complemented by an external liquid cooler.
