General Construction

We established a new mechanical-technological-electrical building at the Continental site in Budapest, connected to the existing, continuously operating factory. The new unit, designated F1, was constructed alongside the operational facility. The F1 building includes a complete mechanical-technological-electrical section that integrates into the complex system of other facilities within the factory. The ground floor of the two-story building houses the technological area, while above it features a false ceiling that conceals a high-capacity mechanical and technological distribution network (HVAC, compressed air, industrial gas, cooling, heating). The second floor includes a walkable mechanical area, accessible through corridors, integrated into the building’s steel frame structure. The construction of the F1 building posed challenges, as it had to be developed in a continually operating industrial area, meaning the new facility was directly connected to the existing operational building. Additionally, the building presented significant fire safety challenges; fireproofing for various boundary and connection structures had to be addressed, and a highly demanding conductive floor was necessary due to the internal technology requirements.
